Performance Poetry for Classes
Please note: If you join this Global Project you will be given access to lots of examples of poems and other ideas that will be scaffolded to encourage all students in a grade to contribute to a new class poem.
This new poem should be learnt, performed with passion and a video recording uploaded to this site!
Here is an example from 2015 of 2 poems that were performed with passion by a Grade 6 class in the U.K.
To satisfy the requirements of this Global Project students would need to be encouraged to use the same scaffolding to create their own versions to perform with passion!

Year 6 St Patricks, UK - National Poetry Day 2015 Poems performed: 1. Please Mrs Butler by Allan Ahlberg (please note - although a great performance - this would not qualify as an original poem - but if the students created their own verses it would!) 2. What shall we do with the Drunken Teacher is a variation on What Shall We do with the Drunken Sailor and if created by the students this would qualify for a Class Performance in this project |
