How to Use Edmodo - Students
Edmodo is a great communication program, but students should understand that it is not meant for general chatting.
Teachers need to remind students that conversations in Edmodo must only occur when directed by the teacher and must be limited to the topic given.
Students should also be made aware that teachers can see all posts sent by students.

Use the Edmodo 'Code of Conduct' to reinforce basic rules for cyber safety and netiquette.

Student Handshakes
Student handshakes are important and are created by students at the beginning of a global project to introduce themselves to the other members in their small teams. This is not meant to be an onerous task and should be undertaken and uploaded fairly quickly.
Edmodo will be used for these handshakes. The students share a paragraph about themselves eg. age, how many in family, favourite things, interests, future ambitions, etc. Please encourage and practice digital citizenship at all times - remind students not to include private information such as, surnames, specific addresses, phone numbers and to always speak in a friendly manner. |
Students should type in full words and sentences using correct grammar.
Please show respect to others by starting all names with a capital letter. |

50 tracks can be individually downloaded - just make sure you note the description with each piece of music and include this in your credits.
Note: If your school blocks YouTube - download some of the pieces of music (with credits) and save to your school network so all students can easily access. I recommend using YTD to download - it's free, quick and easy to use.
